Tenormin and klonopin pac's and anxiety

my doctor just put me on tenormin 25mg and klonopin .5 mg for severe pac's and anxiety. They said that my anxiety has been causing an undue amount of pac's. The crazy thing is, my anxiety didnt start until the pac's did and i started feeling short of breath during them. They did an echo, stress test and tellementary for 24 hours and said that allthough i am having alot of pac's (sometimes 10 in a minute) that they are harmless. I feel better with the results and have had 95% relief of symptoms with meds but cant help but wonder if there still is something going on with my heart. Would other tests show a problem or seeing a electro physiologist?

I have the same thing going on. I only have PACs. They started a couple of months ago as an occ. flutter. Now, they are continuous and are very hard and pulsating. I feel them in my throat and they occ. take my breath away. I have no history of anxiety and no abnormal stress, although the palps do scare me sometimes. I have had the same testing and my MD assures me that they are nothing to worry about. He has put me on Tenormin which I will start tomorrow. He has also told me to decrease my caffiene intake. I am hopeful that the Tenormin will fix this. Good luck to all of you.

Do you feel the pacs? Mine feel like a quick squeezing. My palps used to just feel like flutters but are much stronger. My doctor said that when i get anxious after feeling them my bp goes up naturally and it makes them harder. I was advised to seek mental evaluation for anxiety, but like i said, i was fine until all of the pacs started and then started feeling like i was going to die. They are very scary. Its nice to talk to someone who is going through a similar problem and i am not alone on this matter. Is it possible to be stressed and have anxiety and not even know it?

Misty my anxiety also stems from health concerns.. I have PVC's and PACs and sometimes I feel like which came first  the chicken or the egg.  So sometimes I feel stuck in a vicious cycle  the palpitations make me anxious and when I get anxious I get more palps.  I have had the same tests you have had done and personally have no desire to have anything invasive done.  Give the meds a chance to work and take it from there.  You might also want to see a therapist to for some talk therapy along with taking the meds.
