When will it leave?

I've been waking up with a stiff neck for the past 10 or 11 days now... also is tight/sore during the day. The Dr. said it was just anxiety... being tense. My neck seems to feel better at night for some reason.

I havnt had an appetite for almost 2 weeks now...  I'm making myself eat... b/c my stomach will growl and I will FEEL hungry... but NOTHING SOUNDS GOOD AT ALL.... and I just have to scarf something down to make my stomach feel better.

How long can you not have an appetite for?
How long til my stiff neck goes away?

I just upped my lexapro from 2.5mg to 5mg two days ago... my Dr. said this should help. And I've been just trying to keep busy, even though my job keeps me busy enough... but when i get off work I've been exercising too.

I've used lexapro before... and it does work... ive just never had this "stiff neck" symptom before...

ive had the "no appetite"... but not for this long I don't think.

Thanks again!

ps: I'm not a stranger to anxiety... ive gone through a few spells like this before... and I would say this round isnt as bad... but it's different symptoms which makes it different. It's just nice to get reassurance from good friends. =)

in my experience, anxiety causes a wide range of very weird physical symptoms. pressure in the head, tingling sensations in the head, all weird things that if your mind gets away from you can seem like something very bad. once i realized what my symptoms actually were, i started rubbing my head in the places it needed it...find pressure points, etc. it took a few days but when i started dealing it in this way it reduced how much i stressed about it and actually caused relief of symptoms. after a couple weeks those symptoms just became background noise and eventually went away entirely. of course it's good to share with your doctor...just in case...but the physical symptoms are normal and do eventually go away.
