anxiety/ scared of endoscopy

Went to another doctors appointment today and was told to go for endoscopy
since I have been having slight heart burn, but the burning sensation on my back.close to my shoulder blade..whenever I lay down or rest my back. i noticed the burning sensation on my back awhile back with rash.. some really weird looking rashes but the rashes are gone now but my back still burns
I read online that those are signs of esophageal cancer.. am just 29yrs old.. I never smoke or drink alcohol.. I domt get sick and no history of cancer in my family but this is freaking me out.. my anxiety is 9 on a scale of 10.. now I can sleep or think straight.. I have this feeling of impending doom
pls can someone talk to me.. am freaking out

I too thought I might have this. Went for an endoscopy and everything fine. My doctor assured me if you have esophageal cancer you would be regurgitating fluids/food. It might be that you just have a reflux problem which can be controlled with meds.

I dont know anything about those symptoms. But I know anxiety...and I know that when something is getting in to your head can stay there and blur your thinking. You should just wait for the test resaults...and try to think that its propably nothing...I really hope you get through this :)

Hi :) Calm down we all here understand what you are gointh through.I am having this ''doom'' feeling. As someone here sais...fear is not a fact.Because you fear of cancer it doesen't mean that you do have cancer. If you search the internet cancer has a billion of starting symptoms...inculing...headaches.You dont fear of cancer everytime you have a headache. The most possible is that you dont have anything serious. Its a good thing you are looking up for it.Most people do not care about those things and they think that they are going to go away.Sometimes we just get anxious over nothing.I totally understand your fead.I have my share of fear too..right now as we speak.Don't loose your hope...and don't upset your self over something that you are not sure about. For all you know right now you just have some pain burning sentation..NOT CANCER.I hope I helped you with my thoughts :)
