The two go together in most people.  Sometimes depression causes anxiety, sometimes the other way around, and sometimes, probably most of the time, we have both to varying degrees.  The presence of depression in most anxiety sufferers, often overlooked in treatment, is believed to be one reason for the poor rate of positive outcomes in treatment -- it is thought it could be improved greatly if more attention were paid to the depression part, which often makes us reluctant to do what needs to be done to confront our anxiety.  It took me years to learn this, because my anxiety is way worse than my chronic low level depression.

Unrelieved panic or severe anxiety will leave you feeling depressed.  I had a psychiatrist who told me anxiety comes first, then depression.  So it is a domino effect, in my non-medical opinion.

You are probably still living at home.  The best advice I can offer is to have your parents take you to a psychiatrist or therapist for an evaluation.  Since you use the words 'panic attacks', I'm assuming you may have already seen a professional. Also that this has been going on for awhile.

You can get relief.  It isn't necessary to spiral down into depression.  Please get help.

Keep us informed of your progress.  We can be your virtual support group.  We are all people who have suffered from severe anxiety, so you know you are not alone.  Most of us have been treated for our condition.  We are not, however, doctors:).  Just people who support others with same condition.
