anxiety(shaky legs)help please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi folks I need some help with my anxiety particularly shaky legs.I am a keen amateur golfer and whenever I address my ball whether driving,on the fairway or putting(pretty much all of my game) my legs shake uncontrollably,I try to disguise this embarrassing affliction by slightly bouncing up and down to detract the attention away from my legs for the onlooking audience.I have attended my local doctor concerning this problem(it is not just golf when this occurs it could be standing in a crowd, speaking to someone one to one etc) and was given a beta blocker and a small dosage of Valium which masked the symptoms a little but has certainly not cured the problem.I am 42 yrs of age 6ft tall and find this problem highly embarrassing.I know my breathing should be more controlled and I have never suffered any injury with this problem( fight or flight) but when it happens I feel I have no control whatsoever and try(badly) to disguise this horrible affliction.
Any constructive help and advice would be extremely welcome

I was a bit worried that you might actually take a swing in your lounge and accidently smash your celing light - boy would I have felt guilty

What I find, I don't know if you've noticed something similar, is that I feel really angry that I have to even think about stuff, that 10 years ago, I wouldn't have had any problems with at all!

Hi, a good thing to try is, in the comfort of your own home, practice a few of your normal anxiety situations, stand in the golfing posture and imagine that you are actually out on the driving range and literally say to yourself, something positive, for example I might say, everythings okay, I feel relaxed and strong, I am playing golf and I am concentrating on my swing.

I want you to feel that you are taking control of your thoughts.  It is normal to feel nervous before taking a swing. Focus instead on the positive thoughts you choose. Focus on getting the ball near the hole!

What do you think?
