buspar

can buspar be taken as needed?

Buspar doesn't do much of anything by itself. However, there is some evidence (both anecdotal and empirical) that it can be helpful in boosting the effects of an SSRI antidepressant.

My psych says research shows Buspar doesn't work at all.  So there you go -- another example of psychiatric consensus!

According to my psych, Buspar works in conjuction with other anti-depressants.  I was taking Prozac and Buspar;  now Zoloft and Buspar, but I will ask my psych about it.

From all I've heard, Buspar shouldn't be taken at all.  It doesn't work.
