could of really used a chat room now, whatever became of that topic? anyway I am weaming off my xanax (please no replies on the horrors of xanax) I would not trade it for the world, regarding this round with panic x 5 months ago or 9 years ago when I went through panic x 3 yrs.

6am .125mg 12pm .125mg 6pm .125mg 12am .125mg = lowered 1/19-1/24
8am .125mg 4pm .125mg 12am .125mg = X 5 DAYS 1/25 - ?
8am .125mg 8pm .125mg (OR PRN) = X ? DAYS
I have been going off so slow, but today I did not want to leave the house, (still have not) I have noticed seems like on day two of lowering I get them darn w/d! but I have been lucky I get them daily but usually only for 10-15min and nothing like panic or anxiety, but that day two of lowering seems to get to me, but I did go to walk dog (limited area) and drove around the block x 3. My neighbors must think I'm KOO KOO, but who cares. anyway I have been on this site awhile and really value the people I have spoken with and or email or responses back, just keep me in your "thoughts" thanks.

The funny thing is I really like this site and tell anyone I should meet about it, so many topics to help people, really never seen any of the ads? is it just me. ha ha Anyway, please keep reminding me to taper slow, I am so competitive and hard on myself. Anyway I am going sllooowwwerrr now with this round of tapering.

yep, i got banned for talk of a chatroom. I had to email medhelp and they let me come back. I didn't know it wasn't allowed. So, sorry I can't say anything else about it. :( good luck to you though.. I hope your okay.

Good luck with your Xanax taper! It's my humble opinion that whatever works for you is fine as long as your doc is in it with you. And we all know the horror stories, so I won't waste our time on those. I believe one of the most important parts of a taper are to NEVER go backwards...........thats it's fine to stay at a certain level for however long you need to until your body adjusts and then step down again when YOU feel ready. But I'm sure I'm not telling you anything you don't know! Keep us posted on your progress.
As for the person trying to start up a chat room..........it gets a little complicated, but actually it's quite simple. MedHelp is a COMMERCIAL enterprise. They make money by selling advertising which they, and the advertisers, hope we, the humble users of the site, will check out and purchase their wares/products/services. The owners of this site are here to make money. THAT is the bottom line. To do that, they offer these "communities" to us for free. In the world of business, the "competition" is the enemy. When one of us starts ranting about some other great site that we should all check out, guess how MedHelp feels about that? They don't WANT the competition. And they sure don't want to lose their customer base, (that's YOU and ME, by the way) so they nip it in the bud. And for sure they don't want someone else starting up a competitive enterprise and taking their customer base with them.
If you disagree with them, that is certainly your right, but what if this place was YOUR gig? Would you want someone stealing YOUR customers? If you're honest, you know the answer is "of course not." So by deleting this persons posts, they are simply protecting their investment, which I'm sure you must realize. for a site this massive, is HUGE.
As Community Leaders, cj and I are expected to sort of "police" (and I freaking hate that word) the posts for these sorts of things. Neither cj or I deleted this persons posts. I personally thought it would just blow over, as most people have no idea how a streaming chat room works. I understand cj also put HIS two cents in to this person as well. But she persisted, so MH stepped in and did the deed. Has she been banned from MH? I have no idea. They don't ask US for our opinions and they don't inform us of THEIR decisions. CJ and I are strictly volunteers. We make no money from MH for doing what we do, we get no amazing kickbacks........we do it for our own personal reasons. Not wanting to come off like I owe my soul to the company store, I do understand their position. Do I always agree with it.............no. We are all free to write them and tell them what we think. So if you think there is some kind of fascist censorship at work here, please let them know. Otherwise, pick up a copy of "Business for Dummies" and accept what is. I know, without a doubt, someone else could have explained this much better than I did. I am so NOT into business and I don't ride into battle carrying the MedHelp banner. We are also welcome to go to any other site we want.........MedHelp just doesn't appreciate us helping out the competition.

No there is a long post from about 2 weeks ago on starting chat room, but I do not like censorship, so if ANYTHING got be banned along them lines, I would say ok, kewl, but feel really sorry for a site that would do that? even posting other HELPFUL sites who is the person to decide that? I always wonder when people talk about banning someone, who the person is that does it,WOW , ex military here and do not like CENSORSHIP in USA ( yes I know we have) ;-)
