combination of medicines

Hi. I started wellbutrin xl 150 mg a few months ago after having tachycardia chest tightness and panic. Upped it to 300 mg after a few weeks. I also have clorazepate (tranxene) 7.5 mg for when needed. Then after having tachycardia still I started metoprolol 25 mg (which I cut in half) to help with daily anxiety and lower my heart rate. It has definitely lowered my heart rate but I still don't feel right. Still have an uneasy feeling and tightness in my chest. I was also given celexa 20 mg weeks ago but I have been scared to start it. I suppose it and the wellbutrin will go together well since one is an NDRI and one is an SSRI. I've just read that both wellbutrin and celexa increase the potency of metoprolol and I don't need my BP dropping out. Its already good. Just needed a slower heart rate. Now I'm wondering if I should just try the celexa at 10 mg and see if I can feel better... went to the cardiologist just to make sure these things were all in my head and she heard frequent PVC'S right off the bat. So I wore a holter monitor the next day and am scheduled for a stress echo next week. I'm also having "female issues" where I have a perpetual period the last month and a half. Took progesterone for that from my GYN but that didn't seem to fix it. I'm scared that I'm basically just falling apart. I have a 3 year old that  I love but also drives me to insanity. I want to be "normal" for him or at least back to how i was before i had him. I guess my question is should I try the celexa at this point or not? I'm so tempted to but also scared because of my other meds.

Thank you for the response! I have read the same about wellbutrin but honestly when I started it I had so much motivation and it didn't mess with my heart. I didn't have any episodes for a while after taking it. And I was still drinking coffee, which I no longer can.  :( but what I liked most is that it took away my desire to eat, and I've lost almost 30 lbs since taking it. I have about 10 more lbs and I'm back at my pre-baby weight FINALLY. The metoprolol on the other hand has made me tired and I have no motivation. I really am missing my morning coffee. So maybe I should add the celexa and see if it helps. I'm glad I'm actually seeing a cardiologist now but now I'm more afraid that it WAS my heart that caused the anxiety. Also I haven't seen a psychiatrist. Just two different doctors who disagree a little and now a cardiologist thanks to finally getting a referral when one doctor refused to. Maybe the cardio will advise me on the issue. I'm sure it will all depend on the holter and stress echo results anyway. But thanks for listening and suggesting the celexa. I've just been so scared to see how it reacts with metoprolol and I've read about some crazy side effects. I'm home alone with a 3 year old so I can't be having any craziness or bad reactions going on.

Something to discuss with your psychiatrist -- wellbutrin is a stimulating antidepressant, not usually used for primary anxiety.  Celexa would be a better choice for primary anxiety.  Because it's stimulating wellbutrin would seem an odd choice for an anxiety sufferer with a heart rate problem to this non-expert.
