do i have GED?

Hi there.  Im a little concerned with my health lately.  Im a 19 yr old female that has just been diagnosed with hypothyroidism, and am on synthroid.  I had a racing heart as a symptom and thought it would go away now that im on medication.  I supposedly  had an anxiety attack two weeks ago when i went to the emergency room with a heart rate around 190.  I just went to my physician and she put me on xantax (I think that is how you spell it).  It seems to help my heart rate but not for long.  I also have visual snow, its not a very common disorder, but i have had it since i could remember.  The VS recently got worse.  My physician said that if i ever feel like my heart is  racing to take the medication. If that doesnt help then she want me to see a cardiologist, she said nothing serious just maybe something wrong with the electrical part of the heart.  The visual snow worsens at night and i seem to  panic about it and i get most of my attacks at night.  I have always been extremely healthy and in shape, so im not used to all this medical stuff.  Just looking for advice to ease my mind.  Thank you.

Hey there. I strongly recommend you see a cardiologist about the heart rythm issues. I am concerned with you taking xanax for something that may be a heart thing. I would think the doctor would first have the cardio rule out rythm issues since drugs can effect the rythm of your heart. Thyroid meds also can effect your heart if its not just right. Def. see a cardiologist and ask him about the xanax. Also I hope you are seeing an endocrinologist for your thyroid since it needs to be monitored closely. I hope you feel better soon. (remember--I am not a doctor).
