Anxiety making me think it's worse - Bump on back of head.

Hello, I do have generalized anxiety and health anxiety.

On this past Saturday I've had a few things happen. I noticed on the back of my head where the opcipital bone / area is I have a tender bump on the left side. It's the area where you would rest your head if you were laying on your pillow. I don' think I knocked my head on my base board because I would have to put my head inside of the base board to do that. I tried it. Haha :-\. Well Anyways I'm bothered by it because it's been like this before.. I wanna say last June then it went away and I just noticed it again this last weekend. Is this any one else has experienced. I haven't rushed to my doctors yet because I want to give it a few days to see if it goes away.

Also on top of that I had a soccer game yesterday and was kicked in my ankle so I have cleet bruise marks on my right ankle and I think I'm brusing easily.. like I have cancer. When I know it's soccer. Also after my soccer game I was outside emptying out my car with my soccer gear and all of a sudden I had this bright line / light in my vision and couldn't see things clearly I mean I could but it was strange like a bright line. I was outside with my sun glasses so I'm not sure if my pupils were dialated and a ton of light got into them and and I was blinded momentarly like pupil dialation. I took a nap and woke up 2 hours later and my eye site was fine. I don't wear prescriptions glasses and I have 20/20 vision last I went to the optomitrist. So I really don't know what's going on.. all of these things happening over the weekend have really put me off a bit and I'm bothered by them but I'm trying to relax and not freak out.

Any insight would be appreciated.. like I said before I'm going to wait a few days to see if this tender spot on the back of my head goes away.

Cheers and thanks for your time.

And when the bump goes away, you won't be anxious about it until it reappears again. Then what? We get another post?
OK, I'll give it a shot. How big are these lumps/bumps? Can you move it around or is it solid and immovable or is it more like a tender spot? Do you have any headaches when you get these bumps? Difficulty with your vision? Are you dizzy, sick to your stomach, faint? Is it perhaps possible that you slept with your hand behind your head which COULD cause you to wake up with a tender spot? How long do these bumps lasts?
That you had a similar bump 10 months ago doesn't send up any red flags.
Apparently you play a lot of soccer. It's a rather physical sport to say the least. Any chance at all that someone thumped your head during a wild meelee for the ball? I think that's possible and in the excitement of the game, you probably didn't even feel it! (You soccer types are a hardy bunch, at least from the few games I've watched) Just sitting in the stands, I went home with a limp!

Yesterday at the game you were kicked in the ankle by a cleeted boot (ouch) and got a bruise. Is this the first bruise you've ever gotten at a soccer game? But you now think you're bruising "easily?" There is very little "meat" around your ankle and they DO bruise easier than other body parts. Is this something you've been noticing lately? Has this changed over the past few weeks/months? Are you on any type of blood thinner? Besides your ankle, did you have a lot of bruising on your body?
Where did you get the idea that bruising easily is a symptom of cancer? (Been looking up stuff on those silly symptom sites in the wee hours?) You said it yourself........it's the soccer! Period.
OK, now we've got the eyes and a strange bright light. Even WITH sunglasses on, it's very possible for a ray of sunlight to jab our eyes, to bounce off the chrome of your bumper, to flash off a passing cars mirror, all of which can cause that momentary blind spot. Did it last long? Did you check your pupils to see if they were dilated evenly? Did you develope a terrible headache? Did you experience numbness anywhere? You obviously drove home without any problems and took a well deserved nap. When you woke up, everything was fine.
And so are you!
The tender spot on the back of your head is not a brain tumor. Your eyes got zapped by the sun, you didn't have a stroke. You took a wicked kick to the ankle and got a brise, not cancer.
Stop looking for trouble where there isn't any! You DO NOT want to become a hypochondriac!
Peace
