general anxiety

When someone has GAD (for me is about my health) can you get a sort of heavy head feeling, off balance feeling, shortness of breath, and head pressure, and feeling faint without ever actually passing out, without having an actual panic attack? My heart has been cleared by three cardiologist but I still always worry about my heart and that I'll suddenly just stop breathing. It's pretty much ruining my life. I still do everything normally I just don't enjoy it like I think a normal person should. its so awful

I've had feelings like that when my anxiety is bad. The good news is if you wait long enough the feeling passes. That for me was key in learning how to cope. It was calming myself down. Saying to myself that this too shall pass, nothing bad is going to happen, breath, breath, you are okay. A lot of this battle is self talk.

The more I learned self talk the shorter my episodes got. I still have free range anxiety, but the peaks have leveled out. I haven't gotten a panic attack in ages because I can talk myself down before it gets to that level. Before I used to get panic attacks in stores which was the worst. The world is spinning and there is no place to sit down. Holding onto a rack for dear life until the worst past. Glad that doesn't happen anymore. I get a little lightheaded but nothing I can't handle.

Hi angelabradford23.  I will tell you that panic attacks FEEL horrible.  I've had a couple myself.  Memorably terrible.  Have you had any more since then?
none stop anxiety too shaking headaches dizzy off balance feel like im going faint body pain cant breath list goes on its a nightmare
Have you seen a doctor for a very thorough check-up?  I don't know if that's even possible in the age of corona virus, but that's a lot of symptoms.  I've had panic attacks and phobias and anxiety for many years, but again, that's a lot of different symptoms.  I can see you having those during a panic attack, but if this is non-stop feeling like this, I'd want to rule out a ton of possible physiological disorders such as thyroid problems (most docs do not check for thyroid problems, they check something from the adrenal gland.  You have to ask specifically for a test of thyroid hormones to get a true thyroid test), blood sugar crisis, electrolyte crisis, well, just a ton of things.  Anxiety does cause a lot of problems, but I'll repeat, if what you're saying is accurate that's an awful lot of symptoms to have from anxiety, most get some symptoms but not every one.  If your anxiety is indeed the culprit and it's causing this much of a problem you're probably going to be referred to a psychiatrist for meds, unfortunately, but I'll repeat again, when you have that many symptoms you want to eliminate all possible physiological problems first and not let your doctor just slough it off to anxiety, it might not be.

yes i have been there so many times and you sit back and look at others and wish you was normal, but we really dont know what they are going throught or even if at times they feel just like us.

there will be days you will feel normal and i hope years that way. i have been pretty normal for 4-5 years a few times i have felt light headed or not myself. and we all know anxiety can show its ugly head at anytime . hang in there it does get better .
