And to the OP...yes, combos of the same class of meds have been used to treat anxiety.  The important thing to remember is that any medication regimen must be directed by your doctor.  If this combo was not prescribed to you, then, no, do not take it.  If it was, then direct any questions/concerns about it to your doctor.

While I respect and appreciate your opinion about meds, your statements are very strong and, despite your intention to want to help people, your post could actually serve to scare people, especially when they are already anxious to begin with.

Fact is, there are MANY different treatments for anxiety, with there being different approaches for different people.  MANY many of us have had great success in treating anxiety with prescription meds....and while any med carries risks, each individual person must weigh the risks and benefits.  It is also not a true statement that meds are "harmful"...you cannot apply that logic as a general statement directed at everyone.

Please be cautious when expressing your opinions that you don't discount other forms of treatment...while you are entitled to your opinion, we must respect that everyone deals with anxiety differently, and while certainly people have had bad experiences with meds, many people have found them to be a Godsend...myself included.

If you are a supporter of a certain form of treatment, then share that info, without discounting other ways of treating anxiety.

Ask your pharmacist, he knows best if there will be any interactions and can tell you if he/she has seen this combo before. Take care.

It's not wise to mix prescription medications, whether a doctor tells you it's okay to try it or not. In fact, antidepressants and anti-anxiety drugs aren't the safest nor the most effective route in curing depression or anxiety. You always, always have the choice of doing it the natural way, which will tackle the problem at its route without pumping your body full of chemicals and leaving you with numerous side effects.

Research alternative methods of anxiety management before further harming your body. You won't be sorry!

If a doctor prescribed them I guess so. I believe they are both from the same class of drugs SSRI's so I am not sure as I am not a doctor. Never take medication not prescribed.
