its been years

I have not had panic attacks in over ten years. Like six months ago i had a major panic attack that came out of nowhere. I was terrified. Its been lke six months and now i have anxiety all the time. I have been dodging a lot of activities but only when i have really high anxiety cause im scared of going into panic mode or anxiety getting to the point i cant function.. When anxiety is low i can do almost anything. Lately i have not been able to relax myself only if i lay down in bed. Any relaxing techniques for when i am out and about would help. I used to do really good and started to overcome my panic attacks. They seem worse now i am scared i won't be able to deal with them anymore. I know i am doing worse by avoiding stuff. Any suggestions at all would be appreciated. I do see a proffessional btw.

I've been dealing with anxity off and on for over 35 years. The episodes usually last about a month and then go away but this one left then came back with a bite.

Thanks man its tough. I have to go back to work tomorrow i have been working from home for a week. I only work like 15 mins away but i am terrified. Thats what ill think of it an adventure mabye it won't seem so bad. Thing is i don't have much support. I just joined this forum and its the first. I donlt have anybody to talk to about it that feels the way i do. My cousin has panic attacks i just don't relate to her for some reason. I havn't had a full blown panic attack in a while its just been like one long one lasting all day almost. There are like half hour here and there i get some relief. Its good your seeing a therapist they do help get your feelings out. How long have you been dealing with your anxiety.

Hi, I dont have much to suggest only to tell you I am experiencing the same symptoms. I use to handle the episodes well but this latest one has been rough.

I too avoid situations when the anxiety is riding high. I do only what I need to do each day. I go to work but that is an adventure everyday.

I have an appointment with a therapist tomorrow and I am really nervous about that too.

The only suggestion I have for is something I do to cope. I keep reminding myself that this is anxiety and will past in time. It actually did for a couple of weeks but then came back.

Hang in there and God bless
