klonopin nausea PLEASE HELP

Hi
I've been taking 1.25mg clonazepam for about 20 days now and last week I started getting bad nausea in the evenings. No vomitting. My doctor tried to distribute the dose more evenly between am and pm but it didn't help. Today, for the first time, I woke up with nausea.
I'm so tired. I'm wondering if it's the klonopin causing it. I don't take any other meds.
Has anyone had a similar experience?
Please help.

Nausea is a common side effect of clonazepam and it's often recommended that you take it with food or milk if you're experiencing GI upset. For most people it goes away when the body adjusts. I'd try to give it a bit more time unless the nausea becomes severe. Perhaps your doctor can give you something for nausea in the meantime. Do try taking it with food or milk to see if that helps.
Nausea and upset stomach are pretty common side effects from these types of meds. I had horrible nausea when I began my medication, after three weeks I was ready to give up when it totally disappeared. Do remember we are all different so keep your doctor up to date on what you're feeling.
Peace
