medication switch

Tuesday my psychiatrist stopped my Zoloft and started me on Fluvox (I have GAD, OCD, and mild/moderate depression). Well I've had some side effects that I can live with, but the past 24 hours I've been getting much angrier than usual. Like when my husband and I bicker a little, I get mad instead of a little annoyed. This happened once before when my former psychiatrist tried swithching me from zoloft to cymbalta, and I switched back after 4 days because of it. I don't like feeling this way, it scares me. I left a message with my dr yesterday but he didn't call back. Has anyone else ever had an expirience like this when switching ssri's? How long did it last? It's giving me awful anxiety as I have a fear associated with anger.

It's probably withdrawal from the Zoloft.  These need to be tapered off slowly.  Although many psychiatrists persist in believing ssris are all alike, they aren't, and one doesn't necessarily substitute for another or stop withdrawal.  The proper way to do it, from my understanding, is to slowly withdraw from the drug you're on until you're pretty far down and then slowly start substituting the new med.
