i have not had an accident but have short term memory loss from something that happened in my child hood mine fluctuates some days i can remember things a week ago other times i cant remember what i did over 24 hrs.
i have noticed that while i was taking vitamins i was remembering slightly more so i don't see why meds could do similar things like help or hinder.

Medication has caused memory loss in my case. Doc. says it's not so, but as soon as I come off my memory's back to normal. As I'm now considered old it's not too much of a problem for me. I accept the unwanted side-effects for the benefits received. Short term memory loss at your age sounds odd, Get it checked out asp. Try not to worry meanwhile. Memory is precious, long term seems to stay intact when the short term goes in my case. Wish you luck, George

It's very possible the psych meds could be doing this. What are you taking? My opinion, since I am not a Dr., is to call your Dr. and ask if the medications you are taking could cause even more short term memory loss. Good luck to you. =)
