one step forward 2 steps back.

I had a very sleepless night. Laid in bed for 2 hours trying to fall asleep, slept maybe 2 hrs, up again for 1 1/2 hrs, the slept for maybe 2 more hrs. Now my anxiety is probably at a 6. Im supposed to work a few hours today and now im getting anxious about that. When will this get better??? I just want to go back to my life before these damn panic attacks and anxiety. I hate it so bad. I had an ok morning yesterday and at around lunchtime it went to hell again. How do people do this every day for YEARS?

I agree with you about the Trazadone. The less meds the better in my opinion.
Yes, Prozac can be stimulating for some people. With others it can make them tired. We never know how we'll react to these meds. I sure wish we did. That would be great.
I'm so glad you're better. It really can take time for these meds to start working. Try to give it some more time to see if the side effects settle down and you start sleeping better.

Dr gave me a script for trazadone. But i have decided not to take it because of the high interaction with prozac. The whole seretonin syndrome thing and all. Im wondering if the prozac is making me have the insomnia? I know it can be a side effect, but geez. A key to getting thru any illness is letting your body rest. How can that happen on so little sleep? One good thing is i am better than i was a week ago.

I know it can be very frustrating waiting on meds to start working. Try to hang in there, okay. It can take up to 6 weeks but most people feel some relief long before that. You could be having some start up side effects like I mentioned in my above comment. Anxiety can be one of them and so can disrupted sleep.

On the prozac for 2 weeks. Xanax for a month. Ive been on other antidepressants before. The last time was a year ago. Im just not patient i guess. Its frustrating.

How long have you been on your meds? If it's only been a very short time they can actually make you a little more anxious at first. Then, things should start calming down.
