HI i do the same thing , I was diagnosed with a panic disorder 2 months ago. i never used to be scared of anything not even death . i started getting sharp pains in my chest ,numbness i even passed out, i would get real dizzy . Even though i took all the tests necessary to find anything fatal , i came back healthy. but now if i get the slightest weird feeling anywhere i tend to fear the worst complete opposite i used to be. i had a headache and immediatly thought i was gonna have a stroke. I too am seeing a therepist and have been for about a month i think its beginning to help but ive been told these things take time so hang in there and i was told to repeat to myself im ok over and over when i feel this way it seems to help . just remember it takes time do what your therepist says. we can all ovecome this nonsense . best wishes to u hope i was somewhat of a help.

Over thinking CAN be a by product of anxiety/panic disorder - but it can be other things as well. First of all, I would try keeping yourself occupied and as busy as possible. When you have uncomfortable thoughts I wouldn't 'entertain' them by thinking about them and wondering why you're having them. Just put yourself and your mind to work on something else. Thoughts can't do any harm by themselves ... we have to give them power. You have to practice not doing that! If it becomes to much of a struggle, you may want to see your doctor and taught it through with her or him. Don't be worried over what your doc (or anyone else) may think. Reaching out for help is the bravest thing you can do - it takes a lot of strength, just hold onto that fact! Keep coming back and posting or send a private message to any one of us! We're here for you... Take care of yourself...
