panic attacks

Hi am 28 years old and the last two days ive had this odd feeling in my sterdum right in between my lower rib cages ive been short on breath and when i do breath am getting this heavy feeling in between my rib cages i guess it would be called thw sterdum. I talk to my mother earlyer she told me. Panic attacks run on her side of the family am just woundering has any of you had some what the same symtoms as me. Thanks for listening

It could be anxiety but why not just to be sure its nothing else have it checked out?Lily

Hi there!  Before assuming anything, see your doctor regarding this.  We always want to rule out all other causes first. Anxiety can present with an array of symptoms, but never assume any new symptom is anxiety. Even if someone posts that they do get the same symptoms as you....see your doctor first and foremost.  If it is anxiety, please come back so we can support and share what has helped us.  It's always good to know you're not alone with anxiety, and have people who care and understand.  Please keep us posted and best wishes!
