I think this forum is a great start to ask advice and to try to understand your anxiety.  I know it is hard, but you will get through it.  In my opinion, those close to us can get really scared and confused to why we suffer from anxiety sometimes.  In my experience, we tend to fear the unknown and a significant other seeing us like this can scare the you know what out of him/her.  It initially scared my wife, but over time she learned about it with me, accepted it, and even helped me through it.

I am glad you are going to see your doctor.  Also, do you have access to a therapist?  For me, just learning about it and talking to someone that is 'qualified' to discuss it can do wonders in shedding some light on a confusing situation.  For me, it gave me the tools to confront and deal with it.  Keep us posted!

Can't add much to what cj suggests, but you could google "panic attacks" and/or anxiety and print that out for your husband.  Like cj said, your husband doesn't understand, and sometimes when it's a mental issue others think we should be able to control it, but obviously we can't.  Is your husband going with you to the doctor?  I think this would be a good idea, so he can hear it straight from the doctor.  Glad you're seeing a doctor about this, and I wish you all the best!
