I am sorry you are going through this right now.  I believe we all have pretty much been where you are.  In my experience with it I wanted it to just go away, but of course it does not do that.  You said you were in therapy.  Is there any way that you can continue it with fewer sessions so you have the time?  For me, the counseling was extremely important in dealing with it.  I also believe that because of the experience with it, it has actually made me a better person both at my job and at home (although when I was going through it, it definitely did not seem like that at the time).  Also, are you open to trying medication?  At first, I was vehemently against taking any form of meds, but decided to try and I am glad that I did.  For me, the combination of therapy and medication helped me get through it.

First, calm down. I do know that is very easily said and much, much harder to do, but you've really got to try. This is fixable.
I understand you're feeling of being at the end of your rope. Just about everybody here knows that feeling all too well. It's not a good feeling.

When you were diagnosed with panic disorder, had your doctor ruled out any and all other physical possibilities for your symptoms? A diagnosis of anxiety/panic should only be made when it's the only possible explanation.

You have an entire boatload of very common symptoms of anxiety/panic disorder, but if you haven't had a comprehensive phsyical to rule out other issues, I think you should start there. Anxiety and panic symptoms can be caused by other issues and they can mimic those issues with incredible accuracy. This is why you need your doctor to rule out any other possible problem.

I hope you can get back into therapy soon. There is a reason you're feeling this way, and if it's not physical, then it's emotional/mental. The way to recover is to find the root cause and with the help of your therapist, face it head on.

When you said you don't take meds, I'm wondering if that's because nobody has, as yet, discussed with you just how beneficial they would be, or if you don't WANT to for some reason. We are not here to try and convince you to get on medication, we don't get kick backs from pharmaceutical companies for getting a fish on the line............but I have to tell you that in your current state of mind, a short course of a benzodiazepine or an antidepressant would stop the horrible symptoms of panic and would allow you to reap the most benefit from your therapy sessions. Many of us hesitated to get on psych meds because of the horror stories out there about addiction, suicide or going postal...........pretty much all hog wash if you're under the care and guidance of a good psychiatrist or psychologist and they work with your doctor. You have nothing to fear.

See your doctor, talk about getting a prescription for a mild benzo which will stop you feeling like you're going insane, get back into therapy ASAP and write to us ANYTIME you need to hear you're going to be OK. We'll stick with you until you're back on the right track.
Peace
