some questions

I have had anxiety for about 6 years now up until a year ago all I had was the fear side. Last year I had an attack at work my heart was beating so fast I started to black out there was a nurse on duty when she took my pulse, it was 120bpm about 7 mnths later I had another while driving my right arm hurt in my shoulder before hand and during the attack it felt like lightning shooting down my arm the bad thing about the atack was I had a heart monitor on up until an hour before the attack when I called the doctor and told her I would be late she said I could go ahead and take it off so there was not data recorded.  I have been checked I have had a heart sonagram, treadmill test, heart monitor, and ekg everything comes back normal. One question I have is it normal to have the pain while having the attacks?  I also have pain in my stomach before I have an attack my body starts to feel weird I feel as if I have no energy I also don't feel like talking. Anxiety is taking over my life I hate to go places in fear of having an attack and dieing with no way to get help I can't be alone because the only thought that crosses my mind is death. The road I had the attack on I can't take alone anymore I tried a week ago and as soon as I passed the spot where it started my heart started raceing . Does anyone have any suggestions on getting over this my entire family suffers from anxiety attacks some have gotten over it others have not.

I don't think there is a reasonable explanation for the pain except for the fact that your brain may be causing them... and by that, I mean like, maybe you're unconsciously thinking about pain, which produces it.

I've been to several doctors and they couldn't tell me anything except for it was heartburn, which I do have.

This site supposedly has some answers for what might cause pain: http://www.anxietycentre.com/

You might to check it out. There are some features you have to pay for, so it may not answer all of your questions.

Good luck, dude!

OK, OK, I hear you. You have absolutely come to the right place because what YOU'RE talking about is the way many people here live each day, and guess what-? we're all getting better. In fact, your timely appearance here is all part of the self-therapy you are going to learn how to do.

But first, ahem, we have some formalities. Please become a member so we can PM you and you can PM us (pm = private message). There's also a profile area. You don't have to fill in any of it, but some background data would be very helpful; your age, employment, family situation and, if you'd care to, a picture. This is a way to form an identity with us.

Sooner than you think, perhaps, you will be helping other folks who come here and report the same thing you do, so by all means respond to any post where merely letting someone know you understand will be helpful.

Do some exploring. Click a member's name to see their profile, and read their posts. Get a feel for the people and the way things work.

And then! Post a notice here -or just add to this one- that let's us know you've done all that and we'll get started. OK? See you in about 15 minutes.
