Is it possible that stress could cause dizzyness, lethargy, muscle weakness in one or both legs, shaking hands, and a buzzing feeling in my jaw and head. When I awake in the am the very sound of my voice creates a buzzing that makes me not even want to talk. I have been worked up for MS. I have three white matter lesions but neuro say's lots of people have them and they are not in the typical areas, not the usual shape, grey and dingy colored not white, no enhancement etc. I had an mri 8 yrs ago that looked exactly the same. Cervical spine clear, Emg right leg normal. I have always been a worrier, could I be creating these symptoms? I am so scared of ms. What are my chances of having ms with all the evidence I have stated? they stated my mri was actually better looking than the one 8 years ago. I see neuro every three mo's and have started seing a neuropshych.

I believe stress can cause all the problems you described, along with stress, depression, can cause these symptoms also. I had similar problems, and I thought it was ms, it wasn't it was stress, and then after feeling bad and the worry I was depressed, after awhile all my issues faded, and now about a year later, I feel great. good luck

gosh i sound just like you even with the spots on mri they say are not consistent with ms, i have serid body stuff too, actually having emg friday , i have the same question you do have i freaked myself into a panic if i see micheal j fox on tv i literally statr twiching thats not normal, most of the time i worry about ms, but sometimes think its als or parkinsons, even writing this words upsets me, can the mind have this much contol over the body, i feel like post tramic stress disorder from the intial shock or the abnormal mri i haven't been right since what the hecki s happening
