Agreed....knowing that you are not alone is a HUGE sense of comfort because you know so many people have been where you are and get much better. Even those experiences can seem tough and down right impossible sometimes, they are not; these experiences shape who we are and what we do. I firmly believe it is through these challenges in which we are defined.
Recognizing your anxiety is a very large first step. Many people get in a rut, when they refuse to recognize it. Now that you have, please become involved in this community and go seek the help of a therapist if you need it...learning about this and getting it out in the open is the best way to confront it in my opinion...keep us posted!
i agree. this place has helped me a lot, even though i've never really asked any questions. i'm so familiar with my problem, that i don't have too many questions i don't already know the answer to...but knowing i'm not the only one and sharing my experience's to hopefully let others know they aren't alone does help.
i think that's one of the worst parts of the disorder...thinking you're the only one who can understand. then that leads you to believe you're insane and never going to get better. the depression of anxiety can be as dangerous as a loaded gun, i think...even though it's not always recognized as depression.
