tough times at the min

Just having a hard time with anxiety over the last few days and found myself drawn back to this site for some much needed support.
Having really bad tightness in chest and dizzy spells i know its all anxiety but never stops you worrying. =(

HAHAHA well i will give anything a try!!!
So im now on the look out for a massager, thank you for that tip.
And thank you for making me chuckle when all i felt like doing was cry. x

vibrator! Yep!.................
No sassie~!! not one of those kind. A normal but fairly strong massager or vibrator you can get anywhere-----may have to look for the stronger ones.
Don't laugh you guys this really does work. And for asthma (how i discovered it) it breaks up the congestion-. And reduces tightness for some reason-----i know it is weird but i think the anxiety tightness is more mental tightness than muscular--maybe we should put the massager on our heads!

Thank you i am going to try some herbal tea i love. i also love having a long soak in the bath i do feel alittle better today. but still having tightning of the chest. x

Try some herbal tea and a warm bath with soothing music and a candle that smells good.  This always works great for me unless it's a severe panic attack.  Also, have a snack that includes chocolate: it's a known mood enhancer. :-)  Blessings - Blu

thanx for your reply, yes been suffering with anxiety for 5 months now without a day off at all. some days are mild and very easy while others can be very challenging.Although my symptons have never changed. Its hard to keep track as everyday has been the same i have a very physical job and have sea legs constantly whilst walking around like i'm walking on a ship. My other sympton is the muscles around my chest and heart area ache some days very mild some days savere. Today its bad!!!
I am not on any medication I have ended up in A+E a few times and been put on an E C G but all tests came back ok. Not under a doctors care I get the feeling my doc is tired of me constantly thinking i have something serious wrong with me and keeps reasuring me its anxiety so i tend just to try and get on with it. I find this website a god send sometimes just to feel that i'm not alone and constantly hope that 1 day i wake up sympton free.

Hi there.  Well, the good news, you recognize it as anxiety.  Sounds like you've been down this road before.  Do you keep a journal to track when it happens and what might trigger it?  Also good to track when you try various things to help make it a bit better.  Then you will have a list of go to things to try when you have periods of this.

Are you on medication?  Do you have any strategies you use to weather this situation?  Are you under a doctor's care?  Have you had a physical recently?  

I am very sorry it is a difficult time and I hope it passes quickly.  peace
