It happens to me worse at this time ..the Dr says it's because when we're awake we counteract some of things triggering it, during this stage of sleep your subconciuos gets to "run wild" . I keep a cd player w/ meditational or relaxtion stuff next to my bed helps me tons ..some people turn a fan , or the radio to give your mind something to focus on...my very veryworst attacks came at this time ... hope this helps
Yes I wake up with anxiety, to the point that I though I was having a heart attack and went to the er. My heart rate was 165, passing out, numb all over, shaking and scared. Several doses of adavan finally stopped this. That was my first anxiety attack. After this I went to many dr's and had many tests, almost everything was normal except a large pineal cyst that was found on an mri. since finding that cyst I have anxiety a lot. However, I still do not understand why it happens at night, while I am sleeping. I have found that drinking 1 or 2 cups of chammollie tea before bed does help me stay asleep.
