hi basically im a 19 year old male and have suffered with anxiety disorder since about the age of 13 but my main only physical symptom has been dizziness/unbalanced sensations and i cant seem to get a proper explanation of whats actually causing basically i get it when i go into supermarkets/local town centre, walking down the street, other peoples houses and even at my own house its almost like my form of a panic attack and it feels asif im walking on a boat and like i get a vibrating and lightheaded feeling at the same time , altough it is usally caused by me feeling uncomfortable or anxious 80% of the time , i have just had it randomly come on aswell it can last for 2 minutes or it can last up to 45 minutes i cant understand even if im not feeling partically anxious at the time it automatically comes on say if im in a supermarket ect ,everyone else i know who seems to suffer from anxiety says that in that situation they usually get ( heart palpitaions, sweating, hyperventalating) but all i seem to get is the dizzy/unbalanced.walking on a boat sensation but it just as debilitating and its ruinging my life such as social life , im unabale to work or study because of it anhd i just want to know what i can do to try and resolve this and live a normal life.
below are the treatments ive tried and hasnt worked even if my anxiety has slightly improved i still get the physical symptoms i have described to you .
- cognetive behavious therapy
- councelling and other types of talking therapys
- medication (ssris)
- regular appointments with a psychologist
- homeopathic and other alternative therapys
my doctor has checked to make sure there is no physical reason for the dizziness/unbalnced sensation including
- blood test for anemia , diabities , and full blood count all came back fine
- blood pressure is fine , ecg and 24 heart monitor all came back fine
- appointment with ENT specialist - full examination including inner ear mri all came back fine
sorry if this all sounds abit jumbled but i find it hard to wirte what im trying to explain or describe , so any help on what options to take would be most gratefully accepted
kind regards
scott
