Glad to hear the anxiety is on the downswing. I was on Citalopram for sometime and dealt with much the same side effects as you for the first couple weeks, but after that not a problem.
You're right about the QT prolongation, its generally associated with overdose of the drug. I overdosed New years day on citalopram along with trazadone, and sure enough, my QTs became overly prolonged.
Good luck
sounds good and glad hear your anxiety has lessened somewhat. I hope you have future sucess with your anxiety.
All the best :)
Dont be worried about taking it, i was overly obsessing about the risk of the affect on the heart. I saw a cardiologist today and he reassured me that the qt thing only happens in overdose or in people who already have something wrong with the rhythm of thier hearts. I am sorry that I have worried you. I have severe health anxiety so anything in the side effect list I will think I have. I have been taking the tablets for 5 days now and other than a headache and some mild sickness I have been fine. My anxiety has lessened some what. Although it does take two weeks for the meds to work I can feel a change already. I was so anxious that I was going to the hospital nearly every day which was ridiculous.
I'm don't really undertand what exactly your saying here but I was thinking of takin citalopram (recently prescribed) and now I'm more hessitant. "citalopram can cause QT prolongation which can result in death" yikes
anyway, I really wish I could help you here but I'm kinda uncertain what you need advise with exactly.
