Lower Back Pain in aged woman.

My wife who is 73 years old has stroke and dementia. She has lower back pain too. She do not self walk but walks with the help of wheel chair or walker. She can not sit for more than half an hour due to her severe pain in lower back. She is in lieing down position for 22 hours out of 24 hours. Please suggest me th eremedy including physiotherapy if possible.

She has been shown to two neurologists. Cardiologist, Physiotherapist,Psychologist, Orthopedics. Probably all experts. Inspite of that nothing is working for remedy. Therfore I have posted. Thinking of alternative medicines too. I have all reports I can post here if required. Thanks.

Well, it would be difficult to comment on the situation or suggest a management plan without knowing the relevant clinical details such as those related to the stroke, cause for back pain, presence or absence of other comorbidities; or a detailed clinical evaluation. Her symptoms could be related to the stroke or could also occur due to other few causes which may be treatable. I would suggest getting this evaluated by a primary care physician initially and depending on the cause diagnosed/ suspected, it can be managed accordingly or specialist care may be sought.
