Methotrexate and lung noduled

I'm a 66 y/o female diagnosed with RA last week. Due to my intolerance of most meds, even OTC meds, I was prescribed MTX oral tablets, starting at 7.5/wkly to 17.5mg/wkly after 6 wks, which I had planned to finally start today. My question is: in 2016 several small nodules were found in both lungs, when I'd have a CT scan for something else. I'd had a follow-up scan on Friday, and it showed several more small nodules, and that the original nodules had grown slightly. My Dr us referring me to a pulmonary Dr. I read that MTX can cause nodules, as can RA. Now I don't know if I should start the MTX today. Help, and thanks!
