Over-the-counter gout treatment

Ar there any non-prescription reliefs for a gout attack? It has been 8 years since my last serious attack, but this one is a doozy! I am between coverage for health care and will be another month before I get my VA benefits started again. Any ideas for relief will be appreciated.

Nothing will hurry your present attack up in my experience but as a fellow sufferer I also take black cherry concentrate - one tablespoon a day in some milk. As you know the pain is indescribable, and I.m not going to say that since I started on the concentrate I haven't had an attack because it's like saying you havent had a flat tyre for a long time.....next thing, you know what. BUT I'm convinced 100% that the Black Cherry concentrate is a miracle treatment. No kidding. I've been taking it for 2 years. I buy it online from 'I Herb' and I buy Natures Best brand. Get it shipped to Australia by mail. Try it Mate!! you won't be sorry.
sorry about your attack but it won't last much longer..
good luck

Try black cherry extract. It is for gout. I personally do not have gout but I take it for my arthritis. It works wonders. Here is a link to the brand I use. I usually get it at the health food store but will be buying off the internet this month because it is about half the price. http://www.nowfoods.com/Products/M013112.htm     Hope this is helpful, best of luck to you.
