Pains in Fingers

I am a healthy active 33 year old male who enjoys participating in competive activities.

Anyway I competed in a challenge an assault course in the snow about 5 days ago and eventhough I wore gloves unfortunatly my fingers were exposed to the extreme cold. After the race the extremity of my finger were in excruciating pain and since the race the tips have been very tender and my fingers stiff, especially the right hand.

I read that even mild cases of frostbite clear up quickly so am concerned as to why I am still having these sensations.

Many thanks

Khalid

When my husband was a teenager he spent a weekend camping out in the snow to earn some kind of Boy Scouts award. At the time his feet and fingers went numb, but being a boy and a teenager, he "toughed it out". Ever since then, though, his feet and hands turn icy and blue even in cool, not cold, weather. Please do go have your fingers checked out by a doctor.

Do have them checked out to determine if it is frostbite or if you might have something else going on.
