cervical crepitis

hello folks,
Three years ago I went to the doc to report a niggling numbness in my left pinky.  That was the start of the degeneration so that now I have arthritis throughout my spine.  The disease has had the keen sense of humour to migrate to extremities now.  Just wondering though...any one out there have experience of worsening crepitis in the neck?  Mine seems to be getting worse by the day....wondering if this has implications for the future? Thanks.

I also have these problems with intermittent head tremor and pins and needles of the extremities. I found this article (site below) to be very interesting and I think I am going to go see a neurologist since I have no definitive comments from orthos.

Hello tx,
thanks for reply.  My 'lovely' disease has been described by docs as...degenerative disc disease or osteoarthritis.  However, the latter I know to be more accurate...since, as I mentioned, it has spread to hips, extremeties etc.  Meds I take are not slowing the progress at all.  Docs just say..."no cure and try manage the pain with meds"...that's all.  Have been on so many different types...and I suppose, like so many...it's a juggling act between pain-relief and stomach concerns as I am not on intravenous relief.  I have less and less mobility and recently....when I get out of bed...both feet take a while to normalise.  Basically it's spreading everywhere..but hey, enough about me... I'd guess from what you say...you're in a lot of pain yourself....sorry about that.  Keep in touch and thanks again for reply.

Hello.  So far I have been spared cracking, popping and grating in my neck although I have had miserable pain there for the last few days.  I have ankylosing spondylitis (back, hips, SI joints) and rheumatoid arthritis (feels like every other joint in my body) so it may be in my future.  What kind of arthrtis do you have?  Are the medications you are taking slowing down the progress of the disease?
