I just voted and would love to have an RA forum to talk to others. I have both OA and RA and it took nearly 15 years to get a correct diagnosis. My anit ccp test was very elevated, can you please tell me if this becasue I too have a very aggresive type of RA? My RA Doc put me on Plaquenil 400mg a day plus 10mg. prednizone. The hardest thing I do is get up out of the bed everyday and go to work, I am going to try and get on ST dis. at work but not sure if this is a just casue. I know nothing about RA or OA but I do know I hurt all of the time. Please any words of wisdom will be a great help. I am 44yrs. old.

Wow, that does sound extreme.  I am glad you are able to get relief from Enbrel!  I appreciate your feedback.  The results of the poll will be wrapped up soon so I hope we get some more responses.

I have a rather extreme form of RA...one of the most irritating things I run into is the misconception that my disease is just grandmas regular arthritis...when I am not on Enbrel, I am in bed...in extreme pain...no painkiller even touches it...every single joint in my body swells, turns red and locks up...I really start feeling sorry for myself when I can't manage to push the buttons on the TV remote.  I cannot go to the bathroom, get dressed or drive by myself.  So, I would love for the general public to understand the difference between osteoarthritis and RA.  It really irritates me when I tell them my RA is flaring and they tell me yeah, their knee has been giving them a little trouble too... 2 different things....

Thanks for that input.  Do you have RA or another form of arthritis?
