Swollen finger

Hi there- have had a swollen finger for about four days- no injury.  been taking mobic and tylenol arthritis .  not much improvement.  went to dr. today and he prescribed me prednisione.  but my bp was high and that was kind of upsetting.  can an arthritic flare, if thats what it is, make your bp jump? thanks.

I'm concerned that your doctor went ahead and put you on prednisone without finding out the cause.  You should be seen by a rheumatologist to determine what kind of arthritis or auto-immune issue is causing this.  You need to treat the disease, not just the symptoms.

Pain itself can make your bp increase.
