I have a similar problem with my left thumb very much like "fantasticpow Oct 29, 2015". One night I had a lot of pain on the inside of my left bicep right above the elbow and the next morning it didn't hurt as much but had a fair amount of numbness in my arm. It now comes and goes, but can't really figure out why my thumb won't bend when my brain asked it to...
I'm also having the same problem on my left thumb. Had anyone find a solution?
Has anyone figured out what was wrong? Im having the same problem.....
I have same problem ,but my case is ,I had an injury in my left thumb I just consulted a nearby doctor he just treated it as a normal injury and left it , at first I thought its because of pain I couldn't bend my thumb but as days pass the problem continues. Is there any problem or is there any way that I could by left thumb. Please suggest me a way.
Hi, I just search this, because I think I'm going through the same thing. I woke up today realizing I have a problem with my thumb, I didn't notice it at first, until I try to grip something.
My hands and every other fingers are fine, but my left thumb is unable to bend. I can move it, twirl it, but I am unable to bend it to a full grip against my other other thumbs. There is no pain, or a feeling of numbness. I pinch my thumb if blood flows, it flows just fine. The problem is the nerves doesn't seem to react when attempting to bend the left thumb.
Woke up one morning and couldn't bend my left thumb. Getting stiffer and harder to bend without pain over the past few weeks. Got MRI and ultrasound which ruled out tendon issues.
I have the same thing going on in my right hand. Did u ever find out whats going on with ur thumb.
Hi Kim,
What other symptoms are present? I understand your concern regarding this. Arthritis usually present with pain and stiffness in the joints and there are different types of arthritis such as osteoarthritis, autoimmune arthritis, gouty arthritis. Additional tests such as blood tests may need to be done also to help rule out other conditions. It is best that you check with your doctor for proper management. You may also benefit from seeking another doctor' evaluation. Take care and do keep us posted.
