joint pain...left side only

For 1.5 years I've been experiencing pain on my left side...neck, then shoulder, then wrist, and now elbow and shoulder.  Family Dr. tells me I probably have arthritis and tennis elbow.  I am not athletic and can't think of what I might have done to cause this.  However,  shortly before all this started, I did get really sick with vomiting and diahhrea for over a week.  I suspected food poison.  Then, three months later when the peanut butter recall was announced, I went to the cupboard to find a nearly empty jar with the recall numbers stamped on it.  Could there be a connection?  Why left side only?  Anybody have a cure for tennis elbow if that is truly what I have now?  Ice...heat or both?   Please help.  Miserable

My pain actually started in my neck, then to the shoulder, to my wrist, and lastly to my elbow.  The elbow is the worst.  Have you read about Reiters Syndrome?  Google that to see if it describes your symptoms.  It is a left-side only disease.  Keep in touch if you come up with something.   Tom

I have recntly been experienceing pain in my joints which sound similar. At first it was just my elbow but slowly it has started to include my neck, shoulder. hip and knee on my left side. I have been wondering if this is a systemic problem rather than an injury or stress to my elbow.
