knee joint pain

since 2 months ago my mom suffred from pain in knee joint .....she cant use to stand after sitting ......she use to take pain killers as well but thers not any knida progress .... she didnt get over weighted as if i say it may b the reason of her pain. shez 55 yrs. so tell me any treatment any medication or excersice or woteva u know ......waiting !!!!!

Yes, that would be a good start! Try it for 2 -3 weeks to see if there are any effect. If not, an CT of the knee would be a good idea

actualy she was having cyst in her uterus abt 8 years ago nd it was removed so shez having manupause since then bt yes u are right that her calcium level is low. so she should take calcium tabs..?

Dear Sweet_girl74,
Your mum seems to be in the age of menopause. This means her period have stopped. This means her body has stopped generating a hormone which is nessary to absorb calcium to the bones. It would be good to take your mum to the GP to take a oestrogen blood test.
