lump on both hands?

Hello- breif history......I have joint pain, morning stiffness, numness/tingling and trouble with hands(gripping and locking). I also have had a rash on and off on my limbs and lower back. The last month or so my skin is starting to become very wrinkled. I am only 29 and I am really scared.  At first they thought it was MS due to a lesion on the brain and lumbar puncture. But now they think it may be RA but I still dont have a dx. A few days ago when I was trying to make a fist I noticed a lump on the back of my right hand. It feels like there is liquid in it and it is deep in my skin(not like a blister). Today I noticed one on my left hand a little smaller but almost symmetrical. I have heard of ganglion cyst near joints but not on the back of a hand. It is about a inch below my knuckles. Has anyone heard of anything like this associated with arthritis or an autoimmune disease. I have an appointment Friday but I am real curious about what's going on now.

I do keep a journal. : )  I started it after reading about someone doing it  on here(probably from you!).  I will definitely post when I know something. All of you have helped me so much! thanks again.

I completely understand that one!
It wouldn't hurt to keep a journal of symptoms, as well as foods and activities. This way you can see if there is a pattern, if there is a trigger, etc. This will not only help you, but your doctors as well.

Let us know how the appointment goes on Friday!

thanks.....it's hard to know when you have a chronic illness whether things are related or not.

My husband, and a few of his friends get those cysts on the back of the hand. None of them have RA or autoimmune disorders.
