Peek I have a question for ya...

In your experience have you found labor to go quicker with the 2nd baby?  Why I ask is that I dialated 5cm to 10cm in 45 mins with Quinn and am hopeful this pregnancy labor goes just as smoothly and quickly. ;)

I went from 4 cm to 9 cm in an hour with Jayden.  My labor was only 7 hours long so I'm hoping if and when I am ready to have my 2nd baby, it will go even quicker.

I was fast with all my labors. Each one was faster than the last. My third child was nearly born in the car, no kidding. He was born 6 minutes after we got to the hospital. I'd be scared to death to have another one!

We should have a poll ...My second was the same as the first ...and the third was the worst since I was "induced" .. not fun.....

OOOOOHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   The FIRST QUESTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*rubs hands with egocentric delight*

Lets see.

Usually, labor does go more quickly the second time around, but not always.  Going from 5 to 10 in 45 minutes can't really be topped very easily!

My first labor was 6 hours, the second was about 12, so I've always been a rule-breaker, even cervically.

So....usually yes, it does go more quickly.  But of course, its not guaranteed.
