Is there another way of getting rid of an abscess without getting it lanced?

Another way to try and get rid of an abscess is warm soaks. Apply water as warm as you can tolerate to a rag and apply directly on the area. Let it soak for a while. This can cause the abscess to open on its own and drain. Also, sometimes antibiotics are given to get rid of the abscess. Good luck.
