Antibiotics, Diahrrea, and bloody stool

Hello, in Dec. 2010 I got a pres  for Levaquinn 500 and took this until around 12/17/2010, the sinus infection did not subside (I took levaquinn probably 2 - 2 1/2 years before always for sinus too). Therefore, I went back to an immediate care place versus my doctor and was prescribed Augmentin 875 2x day for 7 days.
I took this antibiotic until 1/4/2011 (from 12/28/2010) and upon completion on 1/8/2011, while eating at Ryan's Steak House a few hours later I started to have diarrhea (about 9 times from 8 - 4am) w/chills for about two hours (I think...) Sunday and Monday it persisted and blood began to appear. Therefore, on Tuesday (1/11/2011) I went to the immediate care place and tested positive for blood in stool no external hemorrhoids, but they could not test for internal hemorrhoids (no anascope).

They requested stool samples which I provided directly to our local hospital lab, with blood very visible red liquid. Also, when whipping, no way to say it otherwise, it looked like a murder scene. However, all tests returned negative for Stool cultures, c diff, and parasites in fecal samples. Thus, I began taking lomotil for the diarrhea and it's somewhat subsided... for precaution I went our local ER on 1/16/11 and was given CBC count, all/fine. They did a stool sample still present albeit, microscopic.  Again, no internal hem chk, no anascope exp, dr. was ER Trained, no exp with the device (Weird ?).

Since stools have been loose and sometimes when whipping I find traces of blood. I have no stomach or abdominal pain when they examined me (i.e. pressing on my stomach et al.). Also, I don't feel any discomfort other than my nerves are getting the best of me. Crying easily. Thus, today I'm doing liquid diet for a double procedure, 1/18/2011, colonoscopy and endoscopy for 2/reasons  1.) Safe to be examined 2.) Calm my nerves.
Therefore, with the brief and somewhat graphic history does anyone think it could be colon cancer, int hemorrhoids, IBS, Chrons 32 & Worried

Continue to go to the doctor, try the BRAT diet (Bananas, Rice, Applesauce, Toast) also take a Multivitamin with food to keep you RBC from dropping. Also try to eat foods that are high in Iron. Your intestinal tract may just be irritated from the overload of antibiotics.

Hi and thanks for using the forum.

You are doing the right thing based on your symptoms.  The colonoscopy and endoscopy would be the next step based on your symptoms and the tests you have already done.  I cannot really know (therefore I can't comment) on what the cause could be (as you note, there are many possibilities) but you are doing the right things to get a diagnosis.  Good luck.
