If you were on your period from the 19th-21st then it is highly unlikely you would be pregnant if you only had sex on the 24th.

A woman ovulates on average 2 weeks before her period, so if you have a regular period based on a 28 day cycle, you would ovulate on about the 3rd-5th of the month. You would have to have sex within a 48 hour window of those days to get pregnant.

Regardless, when doctors measure the length of a pregnancy, they start from the last day of your last period, so they would consider the 21st to be your conception day.

Thanks for using the forum.

Pregnant women often complain of abdominal discomfort after eating in the later part of their pregnancy. As your baby increases in size, the uterus stretches. This stretching causes the other organs to move a little to make room. When you eat a large meal it might feel as though it is right at the back of you throat. You may feel heart burn, or overly full even if you have not eaten that much. Try eating small amounts at more frequent intervals, it may provide some relief.

Another cause of abdominal discomfort during pregnancy is related to hormones. The pregnancy hormones can also slow down digestion. This causes gas, bloating, and adds to that overly full feeling.

If you are experiencing contractions at 28 weeks, I would recommend speaking with your doctor. It may be just the Braxton Hicks contractions, but it is better to make sure. I don't know if your stomach discomfort is related to the contractions, but make sure to mention that as well.

Congratulations on your pregnancy. I hope this helps and you are feeling better soon.
