Right rib pain, vomiting, right arm and leg pain

Hello,  around two weeks ago I woke up with a bad pain in the front of my right rib cage and a pain directly on the other side of my back (under the right shoulder blade). It is a dull stabbing pain. It is worse when I lay down. On the 28th of February I went to the E.R. because the pain was bad and every time I ate I threw up with in 5 minutes. When I arrived at the E.R. I was loaded down will a pain medication called dilaudid. They took me in for a x-ray and said they would test until they figured out what it was. I came back from the x-ray and about an hour later they came in asked if I still had my gull bladder and I said yes. Then about an hour after that they just came in gave me a prescription for pain meds and said I had a strained chest wall. That was it. Have a nice day see ya. As of current I am still in pain, I didn't take the pain meds.

All in all I was wondering if you could tell a strained chest wall from an x-ray? and if you can how long does it take before the wall heals? I am still vomiting a lot and my chest/back hurts a lot still. Not only that but my right arm and leg have been going numb a lot too. There are times when it will be numb for over an hour. Any ideas?

The kind of x-ray I had was just a standard x-ray. The one where you stand there and they take the x-ray. That is the only test that was done. I do not have a pcp because I do not have insurance and only make around $250 a week at my full time job. I cannot afford to go to a doctor. So i was asking here to see if there was anyway I could get this fixed. Because no doctor will see me with out payment at time of service and I surly have no means of payment right now.

Hi and thanks for using the forum.

It is NOT normal for you to still have this pain and for you to be vomiting from it.  You need to be seen by your primary care doctor and find out what is going on.  I don't know what kind of x-ray you had, but generally, the x-ray rules things out and they are left with the diagnosis of a chest wall strain.  I think you need further evaluation.  Good Luck.

I also forgot to mention that my face gets burning hot and bright red for no reason. It normally lasts about 30 minutes to an hour. Kinda like a hot flash. My body temperature has not gone over 97 degrees so there is no fever.
