The blood cell count will show them if you have an infection (your white blood cell count would be elevated if there is an infection) and can also tell them if you are anemic (which can happen with blood loss). Continue the bland diet and give yourself another couple of days. Make sure that you stay hydrated (drink fluids but avoid sugary sports drinks which can make the diarhea worse). If this persists for more than a few days, you should be re-evaluated. Good luck.

Hi and thanks for using the forum.
Abdominal pain lasting more than a few hours should be evaluated by a doctor. This could be a bad stomach/ intestinal virus, or it could be more serious like infection. Please see your doctor as soon as possible. In the meantime, drink plenty of fluids and stick with a bland diet to help your stomach and intestines settle. These symptoms are serious and really need to be addressed by your doctor. Good luck and hope you feel better soon.
