fibroid or hormone imbalance

I started a new job april 4 and within those 2 weeks I was drinking coffee in the morning and some afternoons. when I thought I got my period it stopped but my official period never started,then I started bleeding light and heavy with some clotting from time to time.there is no pain back in 09 I had a Cyst rupture and had surgery I hadn't had any sexual activity in months.I plan to. Go. To the doc but is this just a imbalance?from april till now I'm out of wack n I want to see if n e body has had the same or what

Hi and thanks for using the forum.

It is not unusual to have an "off" period every once in a while.  This can especially happen when you are under some stress (like starting a new job).  So, I would not be too concerned yet.  Wait and see how things go with your next period.  If that one is off too and you are concerned, then you should see your OB/GYN.  I hope this helps.  good luck.

Thank you for taking the time to reply to me but its still going on and i know i should go to my health provider but im scared to death that it is cancer is cancer a possibility???its kinda a heavy to light but I havent ovulated i usually feel it and i just been bleeding since april
