Was taking Prozac for 15 years and stopped working, switched to Zoloft for 1 month, side effects severe inner shakiness and panic. Switched to Celexa, same thing. Have tried most all of them 15 years ago and Prozac seemed to be the one that worked without severe side effects and it worked very well at 20 mgs, then pooped out a several months ago.
Upping the dose didn't work either. I suffer from mild anxiety, panic and social phobia, Prozac worked great all those years and now symptoms are coming back. even more severe than before.
I fear that any SSRI that I take will give me the same side effects, am taking klonopin when needed for sleep and panic. Have tried 5HTP,SAMe, St Johns Wort and the only one that seemed to work was SAMe but with a little anxiety and a little panic and social phobia ( that was about 10 years ago when I tried to stop Prozac).
Any suggestions, the shakiness feeling is not all the time but is very uncomfortable when it comes on, also effecting work with shakiness of the hands and sleep, can't stop inner shaking at times, depression is coming on also . When I stop taking the SSRI's symptoms go away along with depression and anxiety.
Is this the end of the road for SSRI's for me, seems my body has changed and is telling me something? Was thinking about SAMe again or 5 htp but they never came close to the Prozac. Has my body built up a resistance to the SSRI's and what's up with the side effects, I've dealt with normal side effects before but these seem harmful and won't go away.
Thanks for any solutions,
