long term paxil 10mg user wants to go off drug

I have been on 10mg Paxil for over 8 years. Have many weird things going on that I have come to believe are Paxil long term use associated.
(night sweats, food and drug allergies, flushing red face and chest, tinnitus, toe and leg cramps at night, weight gain)
Do you agree that these symptoms are probably Paxil- related ? How hard to get off a 10mg dose and how long will it take to pass through it ?
I will do this with a Dr's supervision, but want to know what the benefits are and what I might be in for.

These symptoms are probably Paxil-related, but I would discuss this with your doctor before you start to wean off of this medication. How hard to get off a 10mg dose will depend on the individual. You will need to gradually decrease the dose by half every 2 weeks and this could take about 1 to 2 months before you finally stop. Some side effects of weaning off could be dizziness, flu-like symptoms, headaches, and seizures.

update: Dr. says to wean off Paxil with Prozac for 8 weeks, and then stop both.  Says it won't be a problem. Hooray ! Hope he's got it right.
Thanks for your help.

When you mention flu-like symptoms, does that mean respiratory or digestive flu symptoms?
And SEIZURES ?  HOLY COW. As in grand mal, car wrecking, license - losing seizures ? What percentage of former paxil users have these seizures ? How long does this risk go on for seizures after the meds are stopped ?
