Veramyst™ (fluticasone furoate) is a nasal inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) and, strictly speaking, not an antihistamine. As an anti-inflammatory medicine, however, has the potential to reduce histamine mediated inflammation, in a non-specific fashion. That it is not an antihistamine is evident by the very many studies of combination therapy, the combination of fluticasone with an histamine 2 (H2) blocker non-sedating antihistamine.
