It's easy to post unsubstantiated rumors, and the decrease in cancer for those with allergies is something that I felt should be documented. There are in fact several studies that confirm this. One reason is that the genetic code that produces asthma causes a heightened presence of Th2 (t helper 2) immunity, which provides advantages in controling tumors, malignant and benign. One ref is Cancer Causes E-pub June 19th 2012 and Aug 23 (8) pages 1317-22.

There is a genetic component that results in a super-sensitive immune system. This may or may not reflect itself in your offspring. There is nothing to do about this except to eat nutritiously during pregnancy. The expression of this gene has certain advantages, however. There is a significantly lower incidence of cancer and malignancies for those with the so-called "asthma" gene. I have the study reference around somewhere. Mother nature, as one physician friend said "never does something for nothing." These genes develop in humans and other creatures because they have survival value.

It is a possibility Lets hope not but at least since you both have it you will be prepared to take care of your child.
My daughter has it I dont but her Dad does.
How old is your baby? Any symptoms yet
i would talk to your doctor and see if there is anything you could do now to help maybe prevent or lesson the chance for baby.
